Healing is essential if you are going to be in charge of your self esteem.
We have all been damaged in one way or another. Everyone has scars. Healing happens when those scars don’t sting and you’ve learned to let those be live lessons and let those experiences be a part of your pathway to happiness.
When we can look at at situation and say “It wasn’t easy or right. I learned a lesson and it contributes to who I am. I am a sum of all my experiences and they all have some value or lesson.
There are three basic steps to healing. Acknowledge, be accountable and then let it become a part of your history. It is how you forgive as well. Another way to put it is to simply own it. Once you are own it you can learn from it and let it go if you desire.
