A male driver who was on Minnesota state highway 9 in Avon found himself in an auto accident that happened during the evening hours when his auto fell into a lake.
Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka believes since he only gave out this information of the auto accident based on the investigation by the authorities that the driver of the 2012 Chrysler auto did not take his medicines before he drove his auto into a lake on Friday evening.
What made this story great was that a few Good Samaritans were on hand to assist the driver who was trapped inside the auto that had water up to the windows by calling for assistance on the 911 emergency number.
When the medical help arrived on the scene of the accident, the driver of the submerged auto had been taken out of the auto and into a safety zone on the ground.
Thanks to the cooperation of the Good Samaritans, the driver of the auto is safe. A tow truck managed to take the submerged auto out of the lake.
Always be careful driving in the evening hours on state roads, the ability to drive safe in these conditions can be compromised by the lack of lighting as well the physical condition of the person behind the wheel.
