Gingerbread House Fun

I forgot to post this sooner, but last week my son decorated a gingerbread house.

This year we were able to get a gingerbread house that was already put together, so all we had to do was the fun part – decorate it.

Eli had so much fun putting on all the candy, but I think he enjoyed eating it even more. I mostly helped with putting on the icing and fondant.

Below are a few photos of his work he did on the gingerbread house. I hope you enjoy!

Did you or anyone in your family decorate a gingerbread house?I would love to see those photos!

Front of the Gingerbread House

Fondant was used to make the door and the "trees". We used mints as windows.  We used some of the small round sugar pieces as decoration on the "snow" and as some decorations on the "trees".

Eli’s Excited!

Here is Eli showing his biggest smile for his excitement in getting to decorate the gingerbread house. He was really looking forward to doing it all month.

You can see all the different candy that came with the kit here....gum drops, lights, mints, and little round sugar bits.
