George Eber

George Eber-hero and founder of parkour George Eber was an officer in the French Navy before World War II, he was stationed in the town of Saint-Pierre, on the island of Martinique in the Caribbean Sea. This city in 1902 was the victim of a catastrophic eruption volcano  (second picture). Eber coordinated the escape and rescue of some 700 people from this disaster. This event had a profound effect on him, and reinforced his belief that athletic ability must be combined with courage and altruism. He later developed this opinion in a personal motto, “Be strong to be useful.” It is enough to travel through the world and was impressed by the physical abilities and skill developments natives of Africa: “Their bodies were wonderful, flexible, agile, durable, resistant and yet they had a mentor in gymnastics, During the First and Second World Wars, Eber is its principle exercise continued to expand.
