For mandatory immunizations and immunizations worldwide

I chose this post to introduce you to the mandatory vaccines in my home country Bulgaria. There is much talk about this now.

I want to understand in your comments do you have these mandatory immunizations and immunizations?

Mandatory immunizations and immunizations

According to the current Immunization Calendar of the Republic of Bulgaria, mandatory preventive immunizations and immunizations at a certain age are carried out:

Immunizations

all newborns are immunized with tuberculosis vaccine (BCG) and against hepatitis B until their discharge from the maternity hospital

from the second, third and fourth months, children are vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, hemophilus influenza type B infections and pneumococcal infections, as well as against hepatitis B if the hepatitis B vaccine is a multicomponent vaccine

if the hepatitis B vaccine is not a multi-component vaccine, a second dose is given from the first month and a third dose from the sixth month

between 7 and 10 months of age of children without BCG mark immunization in the maternity ward is given BCG vaccine after a negative tuberculin test

from the thirteenth month, children are immunized with a combined measles, rubella and mumps vaccine

Reimmunization

from the 12th month – reimmunization against pneumococcal infections, but not earlier than 6 months after the third administration

from the sixteenth month – reimmunization against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, poliomyelitis and hemophilus influenza B type infections, but not earlier than 12 months after the third administration

at age 6 – reimmunization against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio

at the age of 7 – re-immunization against tuberculosis of persons with negative tuberculin test

and 11 years of age – tuberculosis resuscitation of persons with negative tuberculosis test

at age 12 – measles, rubella and mumps immunization and tetanus and diphtheria immunization

at the age of 17 – re-immunization against tetanus and diphtheria

at the age of 25 and every 10 years thereafter – tetanus and diphtheria immunization

  1. I know that in the past, in Romania there were some mandatory vaccinations
    BCG (primary tuberculosis prophylaxis);
    DTP (vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough);
    DT (diphtheria and tetanus vaccine)
    VPOT (polio vaccine);
    HepB (hepatitis B vaccine);
    ROR (measles, mumps and rubella vaccine).
    I don’t know if they are mandatory now. Many were against them

  2. The Anti-Vax movement in the US gained a lot of momentum in the 2000s. Now, those kids are being forced to get immunizations. We had the measles outbreak in the US because of the lack of vaccinations.

    I am pro making sure we prevent illness in children!
