The subject of the painting is known as Elba tablet. It was found in Syria and dates from 2,500 BC information describing the process of making beer in ancient Mesopotamia. The beer is then considered a divine gift. Finding the beer is attributed to women in Mesopotamia it was a skill that they knew only the fairer sex, and they were responsible for the production of beer.

This is possibly one of the more useful cuneiform tablets to have been discovered and interpreted. Many of them of have proved to be extremely disappointing – lists of names , accounting documents and the like.
There are some pretty good stories too 🙂
