Do you blog?

I am not talking about the writing sites like virily. Most of us write here on virily for money. I am talking about blogs outside virily where you might not be earning through writing on your blogs, but still you blog because you love blogging.

People blog for various reasons. Some use it as a medium to promote their products or business. Some use it as a means to promote their ideologies. For some, blogs are like online journals where they pen down their thoughts and ideas. For some people, blogs are an outlet for their creative expression. Blogs provide a platform to meet like-minded people and share thoughtful conversations. Some blog to earn money while some blog as a hobby. Blogs are an amazing platform to voice your opinions.

I started blogging a couple of years ago but I didn’t enjoy it and soon gave up. At that time, I didn’t really understand the concept of blogging. I started blogging again 2-3 years back and i have been blogging regularly since then. I enjoy writing on my blog and interacting with the readers. Recently I started my own website and I am gradually shifting my older posts from my blog to this new website ‘shaloowalia‘. I also started another website ‘astrokrsna‘ which is based on astrology and allied sciences. I write articles on astrology, vastu and tarot on this website and also offer astrology and tarot reading services.

I love the medium of blogging because it gives you an opportunity to voice your opinions and connect with like-minded people. It improves your writing skills and the way you express yourself. Blogging helps in enhancing your creativity and thinking abilities. It also teaches you discipline. Blogging has also taught me some technical aspects which I would not have learnt otherwise.

  1. I agree with you. I haven’t started my own blog yet because I don’t have that much time, but probably eventually I will… I started “blogging” on the site called Niume in order to present my art and then, when Niume stopped paying, shifted here…

  2. I do fan fictions on Devinart.com and Archive Of Our Own. Which has gotten me moderate readership since my subject is PBS Kids heroine Wordgirl as part of a super hero team called “The Lexicon Bandits.”
