I really admire the steps taken by Colby Wallace who is using the power of signs around the Seattle Washington area to have teenagers who are thinking of taking their own lives due to the tough challenges in life to seek help from medical professionals by placing signs near the elementary school where his daughter attends in the Queen Anne neighborhood of the Emerald City.
The program which Colby is starting is called “You Matter.” Since words do have the power to either assist teens and adults alike to either tackle the challenges in life that can put anyone of us to our knees if we allow it to happen.
The power of the signs that are placed around the Seattle region has assisted many teenagers who have a difficult time trying to cope with the challenges of life since when a person hits a dead end in life, lack of words of encouragement usually lead to many people ending their lives.
Thanks to the power of social media, many concerned citizens in the Seattle area are sending donations to Colby to print more signs to be placed around the city. It is nice to see a concerned father using the power of positive word power to empower young teens today who will be our future leaders of tomorrow.
Hope very much that this project will help all the teenagers who have a difficult time in their life.
I hope so too since teens today need someone to assist them through tough times.
What a kind thing to do. Sometimes others only need a friend and a kind word.
That is a very true statement since most kids are tell their loved ones that are about to end their lives are asking for some help.
This is really great way to help others
Everyone of us goes through a dark period in life. A kind word always helps people who are in a suicidal mood to change their hearts and minds to turn around to find happiness soon.
Well said and very correct.
I have read stories of many sports stars who cried out for help that they needed help. The reply from the relative was that they thought that their relative was kidding and then they realized it was too late to save them.
