Blackout in the Philippines

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is on a rampage this year.  After years of squabbles with the press, he cancelled ABS-CBN, the country’s largest television network back in May.  Now, he will begin to cut power to areas in order to seize more control over the entire island.

Earlier this week, Surneco Energy sent out the message that you see to the residents of Surigao City.  There will be no electrical power in the city from July 25 until September 16, 2020.  Imagine having not to go without electricity for two months.  To turn off the power during the COVID-19 pandemic is absolutely heartless.

However, you can help send support directly to the people of Surigao City in the Philippines.  You can click on the link here.
