I take the time to read the book The Shack by William P. Young. It’s not that I believe every word in the book, though I believe are truths to be learned in most books. I always find that something makes me cry and it isn’t typically the same thing. I am thinking that in the next few days while waiting and getting prepared for the funeral, it might be a good time to read it again.
This touches me in ways I cannot explain.
If you have read Crossroads by the same author I would really love if you would recommend it or not.
Thanks.
I have been reading the same book for a month. I keep falling asleep.
i have my go-to books as well. For me, depending on the time of year it is either “Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance” which is my winter/fall go-to book.
or
The lost forest (there are four books with this title, I always read the University of Minnesota Press book on a forest that was accidentally lost during a surveying activity)! is my spring/summer go-to.
I also read the poetry of William Blake, all year.
Cool. I have some others that I go to quite often, and still The Shack is ritual.
same for me i have my two all time favs. Although the Lost forest is newer for me
I have not read these but I will check them out online. Sending you virtual hugs to stay strong.
Thank you so much. I am doing the best I can right now.
I read The Shack and enjoyed it very much. I then heard the author say it was not true. But I enjoyed it just the sam.e
It is one of those “what it could have been books.” It does open a lot of doors and gives much to think about.
