A female driver who was involved in an auto accident around 3am Wednesday last month is thankful to be alive when an off duty campus police officer who was off of the clock after he finished his shift at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio Texas.
The name of the female driver was not released to the public. The accident happened when the female driver was on Bandera Road when she lost control of her auto which caused her auto to hit a guardrail and flipped over which started a fire that could have ended her life.
What bothers me is that a couple of eyewitnesses who were in the area of the auto accident decided to use their cameras to record the accident instead of assisting the female driver from getting out of the auto that was starting to get on fire.
However the off duty campus police officer who was in the area of the accident took immediate action since all police officers as well as firefighters are basically on the clock on a 24 hours and seven days a week to deal with emergencies.
The off duty campus police officer then managed to rescue the lady driver by cutting off her seatbelt just in the nick of time when the flames began to burn her feet.
The rescued driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries thanks to the rescue efforts of the off duty campus police officer who was at the right place at the right time that fateful night in San Antonio Texas.
This reminds me of a car accident that almost killed me. I’m grateful that there are people who saved me from the ravine with a badly damaged car, but it’s funny that all my jewelry and my wallet are gone. Well, there are lessons from all event or accident.
Lessons can be learned when tragic events happen in our lifetimes.
I think a lesson can also be taken from a comedy film without having to experience it. lol
That is very true since some shows are loosely based on some of the characters life stories.
Thanks for sharing this, its a pleasure to read this story and great this officer was brave and saved her life
Police officers are on duty 24 hours a day.
Wonderful story, thanks for making our day.
My pleasure to share this good story from Texas.
I worry often about the need to film and share. Is that the negative reality of the new world order?
That could be a factor on why bad news sells. New World Order scare tactics.
The cop really deserve a medal from government
I am sure that campus police officer will receive an award from the city and state officials.
