Aarburg Switzerland … Beautiful Aarburg castle complex in the north of Switzerland dates back to the Middle Ages, although the exact date when the castle was built is unknown, was first mentioned in writing around the 13th century. Central parts of the castle are located on a narrow ridge. It is interesting that the lower part is made of a castle rock on a hill – was directly incised.
