A village planted 111 trees every time a girl is born … India
Shyam Sundar Paliwal, a former leader of a small village in Rajasthan (Rajasthan) in India, he lost his daughter Kiran when she was very small. 2006 took over it upon themselves to ensure that the other residents of his village Piplantri nurture every child’s life to come. Paliwal has launched an initiative for planting 111 trees to celebrate the birth of every girl born in the village. The villagers planted trees in pastures Piplantrijeve community, and the community ensures that the trees survive and grow to adulthood. Villagers collected 21,000 rupees (about 315 dollars), and the parents of newborn girls contribute with 10 000 rupees (about 150 dollars).
