Pat Smith, 70, who is mother of two children and a grandmother made a New Year’s Resolution to do her part to clean up the beaches in the United Kingdom which started from Devon and Cornwall starting in 2018 to spend one weekend bringing her cleanup equipment to do her work of picking up garbage and other materials that were an eyesore at the beaches.
Pat is a member of the environmental group Final Straw Cornwall has taken this mission to make sure that the beaches in her region are cleaned up so beachgoers can enjoy their swims in a clean environment which is her passion in her life at this time.
It is amazing that Pat is one person who is a role model to make sure that the items that she picks up from the beaches which include plastic materials that could be placed in trash cans instead of a beach setting.
Pat has inspired many other people to join her work which is done once a week that the different beaches like Devon and Cornwall to clean up the litter at the beaches for 52 weeks which equals one year.
Pat does not intend to stop her mission of cleaning up the beaches in the 2019 calendar year since until younger people learn to place their plastic materials inside of a trash can instead of using a beach as a dump site, she will continue to do her part to make beaches clean for future generations since she feels that cleaning up beaches that are filled with litter is going to ruin the fun for beachgoers in the future.
I like the way she uses her desire to clean up beaches since by working at a job she enjoys, she remains in great physical condition to enjoy living life to the fullest in her senior years.
You have a very point there about right and wrong training.
Another good story, we should all learn form this 70 y/o.
That is very true since a clean planet benefits everybody.
this is what happens when you don’t spank your children
That is true since pain from getting a spanking gets our attention to do the right thing.
when children don’t know or appreciate the difference between right and wrong, pain avoidance becomes the incentive to do right
You are correct. I learned to do what is right through discipline from early on from my relatives.
Exactly, and then you learned to do what was right for it’s own sake and no longer needed to be disciplined…
I love doing this as well, me and BF always clean the beach whenever we have a chance and opportunity.
That is one good way to get some fresh air and keep in top physical condition.
