When the Firestorm Has Ended
When the firestorm has ended-and hatred is all gone
I couldn’t help but wonder what had gone so wrong.
Had the damage been so great they couldn’t see the light
Had they lost all focus and didn’t know what’s right
There is nothing I can do to heal their wounded hearts
I can off up a prayer that gather up the parts
I can hope the next time a fire storm arrives
They will find a kinder heart and not harm more their lives
For broken hearts are dangerous and harmful to all
If you can’t respond with kindness, best not answer the call
The firestorm has ended
I know, there are times we can’t do anything or help anyone, and it’s frustrating. ?
All we can do is to not pour salt in the wounds, and pray they’ll heal.
I hope you didn’t get burned! I love the image of a firestorm. It fits so well with the world around us!
