4 ways to know If you are in the right relationship

Relationships can be complicated, especially when it comes to finding the right partner. A lot of us ge into a relationship thinking it is the right one only to eventually realize it isn’t.

This can lead to a breakup, which has major side effects. This is why it is important to be sure that you are in the right right relationship before you move ahead.

To help you in this regard, given below are four ways to know if you are in the right relationship or not:

  1.      Do You Trust Each Other?

To me trust is the most important aspect in knowing whether you are in the right relationship or not. You have to spend the rest of your life with this person which means that you need to trust them with everything.

When I say trusting someone with everything, I mean everything. You must be sure that your partner will stand by your side when no one will; that he or she will be honest to you regarding all matters, including financial matters as you two might have shared accounts in the future.

You must also trust their abilities to bring up children as this can be a major bone of contention between couples. In fact, rumors are that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt separated due to issues with upbringing children.

If you feel that you can completely trust a person, only then you should move ahead with a relationship.

  1.     Is Your Partner Reliable and Supportive?

See if your partner is supportive or not. You do not want to be in an abusive relationship, so make sure to find a partner who has patience and the ability to understand and explain things in a calm manner, without getting all fired up.

You want a partner who supports you at every step of your life instead of forcing you to follow their lead. A lot of these things may not be apparent right away, but you will begin to see signs as you spend some time together.

For example, see what they think of your career. Are they happy of your success or do they like to suppress your growth and undermine your achievements. This might come as a surprise to some, but couples often do this due to jealousy and other such factors.

  1.      Can You Two Talk About Everything?

Communication is one of the most important parts of a relationship. If you have nothing to talk about then how will you spend your life with that person?

Many people are in the habit of only taking interest in what they like and not caring for other people’s tastes. This is a major red flag.

Many couples only have a physical relationship and they are never able to get on the same page mentally. Even if the sex is good, how long can you push a dead vehicle? You can go and read about romantic things to say to your husband, but it will be pointless if your partner never reverts back.

Hence, mental capability is very important so make sure to test your partner on this quality before you finalize things.

  1.      There Are a Lot of Happy Moments

You ge into a relationship to be happy. If your partner is able to make you smile and keep you happy then it is the right relationship.

Remember that you cannot complete evade fights or arguments. In fact, arguing in a relationship may have benefits as well. What’s important is how the person makes you feel from inside.

If you feel sorry for yourself or if you feel sad all the time, then you should walk away and find love elsewhere. There is no point in being in a relationship if it does not make you happy.

  1. This has some very good points to it. I was married for 17 years and she cheated on me. Go figure. Now I am with someone else and I am starting to feel a bit uneasy. It is now 9 years. She has some kind of special bond with her brother in law. Seems strange to me and that bugs me to no end. So I am taking my time with this whole thing. I am way supportive of her but I feel she does not feel exactly the same. Again, thanks for this post.
