They believed he should put her away
Nobody would blame him
She carried a son,
Not his own.
She’d never been with a man
But they didn’t believe her,
Because she carried a son.
He may have listened
If the Holy Spirit had not spoke
The son Mary carried
Was the son of man
God’s own son
God come to earth as man
However you say it
It’s true
He wasn’t the son of Jospeh
But the son of man
Yet Joseph cared for him
Like his very own.
