I managed to get out and photograph the ponds at Auckland Domain yesterday but it was only free parking for 10 minutes.
Auckland Domain park is next to Auckland Hospital where we visited Weds morning.
These days I get so busy my head sometimes is left spinning.
Today, I had to replace 2 dressing tables because they fell apart from age. I wrote a list of places to call and got 2 beautiful 2nd hand dressing tables from St Vincent De Pauls Op shop around the corner
It was a day the Good Lord provided and I had a hard job moving them on my own but a neighbour helped me later on.
I am really pleased with both, as new they would have both cost $700.00 I got the 2 for $100.00 …
It seems that you have plenty of uncommon birds and animals there.

The funny thing is, often older furniture is better made than the newer stuff is. So you pay lots for the Ikea brand, only to have to spend more when it breaks.
I am a huge fan of reconditioned and used older furniture!

I have three desks in my house. One built by my grandfather, one that was my father’s desk and one that was a desk bought for me in Thailand.
All three are in great shape and are more than 40 years old!
These desks are very special, I have another dresser that belonged to Mum. I think one of her brothers made it out of Kauri wood and it is beautiful.

For some reason both my husband and I have only gone in for new items. Some thinking about the place from where it would have arrived at the shop – whether that was a happy home Silly thought no doubt but it did influenced us.
