Today I ventured out to one of my favorite thrift stores in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. I could literally spend a good 2 hours plus inside of this thrift store, and later give two craps about the waste of a few hours. In the past, I have used this thrift store to visit for my eBay purchases to sell on a later date. Sometimes with that, I end up liking what I purchased, but to outweigh the regret of purchasing I get rid of something that I currently have, so that I do not end up hoarding things in my apartment. Visiting with the sole purpose to sell on eBay also gave me a reason to go regularly, plus it also pushed me to weed out used and unused items that I have.
As for this visit, there were many items that caught my eye, such as several household and kitchen items, knickknacks, antiques, toys, shoes, and a “Hit Hard Hit Often” – WWE Roman Reigns shirt, which I toted around before heading to the register. I’m awed by the things I see at thrifts, which excites me to return! Plus, I try to paint a picture why that item was donated, which I will never understand. Anyway, before I bore you all with that story my confession is the purchase of a Pearl Izumi singlet, which sold instantly on eBay, plus the purchase of a plaid shirt by Hennes & Mauritz.
I know what some of those things are…
Many kitchen goodies, Ann. I have been looking for a crock pot for a while now
You will have fun slow cooking in that.
Having things like that in my apartment motivates me to cook more
What kind of things have you ever cooked with a crock pot?
Thomas, I have mostly used mine for beef stew and casseroles. Breakfast casseroles that you make overnight are really neat, because the lovely odor wakes you up when it is ready. I use the pressure cooker a lot more than the slow cooker, actually. .
Very nice! And I would most likely use it for beef stew, or soups.
