  1. Amazing the things you can find in a thrift shop. I love to go in them and look at everything. In all the years I lived in Illinois and many time went to Chicago I have never been to that thrift shop.

    • We have so many in Chicago. There’s like a thrift store in every single neighborhood. The ones to visit are the ones that are in the hipster neighborhoods or diverse mix of cultures.

      • Yes, of course. My neighborhood had an annual “leave free stuff on the curb” day recently and I drove but asked my friend to navigate because she is good at knowing which houses have the best stuff. It is a really good service because homeowners get rid of unwanted stuff, and people who want stuff get great things for free, and then anything not picked up is hauled away at no extra charge by the waste management company the next day.

  2. Lovely post! I thrift sometimes and I sell used things. I wonder what interesting people buy from me! I remember a very intelligent woman working in a theater or a woman who bought my vase for a drawing school…

    • Very cool! And thank you! I would love to try and sell knickknacks to see how much value they have. I have a couple around my apartment that I would love to experiment with.

  3. I love to shop at thrift stores. I wrote a post once about an online discount site, that was like shopping at a thrift store. They had main brands with low prices. I forgot the name lol.
