Marla told Bryan about the job. Didn’t ask his opinion. She told him she was offered the job, and took it.
He just looked at her. Bryan just looked. He didn’t argue, he didn’t try to dissuade, he just looked.
And that was the second mistake.
If he would have told her not to go…
No.
She would have gone any way to ‘fix’ him. And he knew it.
It was her mistake.
She shouldn’t have told him after she accepted. She ought have told him she was offered.
Should have told him and let him talk her out of it. Let him decide if he could relocate. But she didn’t.
She went.
She went and never came back.
