Remembering Les…

February 1, 2014 New Bedford, Massachusetts

From 1987 to 1990 I lived in an apartment on Tudor Street in Lynn, a short walk from the beach. I met some great people in that apartment and one of the best friends I made there was Les Glazier, an American Express travel agent and Grateful Dead fan. We spent many a leisurely afternoon drinking Dewars Scotch and enjoying his awesome collection of Grateful Dead recordings. He was my friend & confidant when I helped Thanh hide from her abusive boyfriend. He got the lowdown on my crazy roller coaster relationship with Youngor and was first to hear of the burnt goat incident. I was thrilled to attend his wedding in Fall River in the spring of 1993,delighted that he and Vivian had found each other. Les was a great friend, a passionate progressive with a great sense of humour and a heart of gold.
