Pressure

I always try to push harder at anything I do and will do not because I’m afraid to fail but because I’m afraid I’ll disappoint.

As the eldest among my siblings, I always get this kind of pressure because I think I’m bound to be that “perfect eldest daughter” that could excel on her studies, will get that promotion on her job, will get that lot of money, and will be the future provider of her family.

I’m afraid that if I commit just one– just the tiniest mistake, it will lead to a great disappointment in the family.

Tell me, is this some kind of inspiration that pushes me to do my best or is this some kind of a toxic responsibility that chokes me to be the best?
