Poetry: Keep Calling for The Butterfly

The spirit of hope

Dwells within us all

But sometimes our sadness

Has built up a wall

Hope needs to start

With one drop of courage

Then that one drop

of courage  can

Seep into the body

that once felt empty

and turns that into

a butterfly for the soul

Reflection

Our bodies start out strong, but then life can take a toll on it. This in time will cause hopelessness to flow through our lifeless body. The body needs to feel hope in order for it to thrive on the beauty of the world. The butterfly stands for transformation. Every living thing needs to keep thriving if it wants to have happiness flow through their minds and bodies. Challenges will always come into our lives, but standing tall with courage will help keep the butterfly within you flying beautifully.

Nurture the mind and the body with everlasting hope, then watch the butterfly within you never fly far away again.

  1. It’s good you’ve expressed the interpretation of your poem about the reality of life. I like how you use butterfly in transformation of hopelessness in life into a new, big, bright opportunity to come off victorious. Butterfly is the perfect example for it undergoes stages of metaphorsis from ugly worm to a beautiful butterfly.

  2. Death is not stronger than life, because the key to it is in it. She does not cross it. We live it. Dying, we do not disappear. A sign of transience, changing existence. “Slava Sevrukkova
