Manifestation over Rebellion (Part 54): Willing to listen

First of all, I would like to thank everyone that has ever read any of the 54 parts in this wonderful series.  As with all good things, they must come to an end.  This part is the last piece of the puzzle that allows for anyone to see real results against any form of rebellion within your life.

Have you ever been talking to someone and they only appear to be listening to you?  Have you ever been listening to someone else but you are not really listening to them?  Words just sound like you are listening to Charlie Brown’s mother.  However, the key to being a good listener is to first be willing to listen to somebody in the first place.  As you already know, here are four steps that will permit you to become a willing listener with focus.

1. Hold on to what you have.  While you are listening to someone, realize that what the other person is saying is strictly his or her viewpoint.  You must not allow someone’s viewpoint to change the viewpoint that you have on a topic.  Do not allowed for yourself to be easily persuaded by what somebody else says.  Your mind must remain a vise lock around your core beliefs in order to discern deception.  For example, you know that 2 + 2 is 4.  However, someone could say some garbage to you that 2 + 2 is 5.  Being a willing listener means that you hear the garbage that is being said during a conversation and still being able to hold on to the truths that you know.

2. Do not compromise.  Do not allow for anyone to take an inch from you.  That inch will become a foot.  That foot will become a yard.  That yard will become a mile.  Why make a promise with another person when that other person will not hold up their end of the bargain?  When you are willing to listen, then you are able to pinpoint the junk a person is saying to you.  Being willing to listen will make you less tolerant of garbage being spouted off by people whose minds are numbed by the ills of society.

3. Choose to overcome.  No matter what obstacle you may face, you must make the decision to get past that obstacle.  The person that wins is the person that does not quit.

4. Know your boundaries.  Every person has a certain range in which he or she remains effective.  For example, I like watching sports.  Therefore, I plan much of my day around watching sports because I know that my mind will remain effective in an environment with some sort of game on TV.  For you, you have to find something that puts you in a good zone as well.  If your mind is not at ease, then you will not be willing to listen to anyone.

I hope that this series will help you out in future conquests.
