Well, my in-laws are moving soon into a different place of residency. They needed lots of help, so we went up Saturday to help them. I almost had the Ivy trimmed from the front of their house, when I clipped my finger pretty good, as you can see. This looks good compared to before my husband helped me clean it out. He insisted I go to Convenient Care. I didn’t want to go, but I am glad I went after-all.
The nurse made sure it was cleaned out. She did not know if my finger needed stitches at first, so she done a nerve test on it. She told me to close my eyes, and tell her where she touched next. I passed lol! After the test she thought that cleaning it out well, using butterfly tape, and giving me a tetanus shot would be enough to ensure that I was alright. She done a great job!
Looks like I have a long finger lol. It felt better, but then by helping later at his mom’s house it did burst open somewhat. I did buy more butterfly-tape and cleanser, and I am as good as almost new again lol.
This is an old post and I am a new viral reader, but so glad you weren’t hurt worse. I hope your finger is 100% by now.
Thank you Ann Hartley for caring. You are a kind soul!
Occasionally we get small wounds, meaning we have to be more careful. But the special gift for it is the special attention of the beloved husband…
Well Albert my husband had something like that happen to his one finger, and he did not go to the hospital, and he has an ugly scar. He did not want that to happen to me. Thank you for stopping by my friend.
Weee… It is a good thought for his beloved wife.
Glad you listened and had it taken care of. Be careful.
Thank you Carol for your caring thoughts.
You are very welcome my dear friend.
The body is amazing in healing itself. Great you got the tetanus shot.
Thank you Pamela for sharing your thoughts.
I am with your husband- better to err on the side of caution. And lockjaw is nothing to take lightly…
Thank you for your wise insight Alex I do feel better now by going and having it checked out.
an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
I want the wound as soon as possible to get infected
