I am the queen of “It is What it Is”. When I have done all the logical things I can do to resolve an issue or make a point, I finally simply walk away and say “It is what it is.” I don’t color the past to make it appear to be something that is not. When things come right down to it, it is black and white and you simply accept it and move forward.
The one part of the quote I would remove is the word unfortunately. I think that mistakes are great lessons and if we “erased” them the lessons we learned might disappear as well. I don’t love when I need to learn things over and over. I am grateful my life is written in ink.
Although the events do not change, we have a choice to remain positive.
I know someone that hates this saying. I feel it is because she feels out of control by thinking the saying. I told her you can’t change others, just yourself.
Typically when I use the saying in my personal life it is a little longer . “It is what it is and it doesn’t always have to be that way.”
We are dealing with a 37 year old meth addict. I am choosing to step out and not deal with it. I am of no assistance.
It is always difficult to accept and move on but it is the best that we can do.
It seems that most of us don’t do this until we are forced to do it.
one of the hardest things to do – accept and move on.
It is very hard and when it works it is magical.
I am doing it right now. Accepting and moving on! With a wedding in just two months. nothing else matters!
A great truth. But not everyone wants to accept it.
That’s true. Many of us, often me, feel the need to try and swim against the tide.
The quote is strange but true
What do you mean by strange?
