December 31,1992 Peabody/Lynn, Massachusetts
My birthday twin Madeline had finished her job in Lynn & would move back to Newark, y 6 New Jersey in early 1993. We got together to celebrate the year’s end shopping at the Peabody Mall, had dinner then went to Danvers to see the film Malcom X. Madeline was a big fan of Denzel Washington, and I like his work. We both loved Spike Lee & admired Malcom X, so we were excited about the film. It did not disappoint. It was a beautiful & inspirational film that left us with a sense of optimism for the year to come.
are you noticing a corresponding drop in views since the site keeps going down?
It certy hasn’t helped but my posts seem to span between 25 and 60 views. It makes me wonder how many of the 2900+ members are genuinely active. I don’t think I’ve had enough exposure to alienate 2800 people I don’t know yet.
I would chalk it up to the server being down, as opposed to something you did. We can test my hypothesis is Virily’s backend ever becomes stable again
I’ll be watching. I looked over my past 60 posts. A few weeks ago “Third Time Kicked Out of The lyceum Pub was my highest with 171 views. Most ranged between 30 to 60 with a few higher and a couple lower. Now I remember posting “Second Time Kicked Out of Lyceum Pub” but I’ll have to go way back to see if I ever posted the first…
Hopefully you can at least get back to normal
I’ve never seen that movie, but I’m going to add it to the list of movies I gotta watch! 🙂
It is one of Denzel Washington’s best roles and one of Spike Lee’s best films.
That’s a solid quote, probably as unpopular today as when he first said it…
