How to Heal from a Breakup Very Fast

Breakups are hard, but they are most times inevitable. You both may be really into each other one minute and discover you’ve grown apart the next and in such case, going your separate ways would be the best thing to do.

However, breaking up is never easy, especially if you spent a long time in he relationship and you will experience all the classic emotions that come with a breakup: denial, anger, pain, grief, etc.

While these are inevitable, you can speed up the time to your healing, so you can get tour life back on track.

Some people heal from a breakup very fast, while for others, it can take up to a year and over to be completely over their ex.

If you’re fresh out of a relationship and would like to heal fast here are four steps that can help you get over that breakup fast:

1.Accept the Pain

Accept the pain as it is a natural part of every breakup. Understand that time is what heals all wounds and it is all you need.

2.Do Away with Everything that Reminds You of Them

Do away with every picture, email, gifts and personal items belonging to your ex or ones that remind you of them.

Understand that to truly heal from the breakup, you need a clean slate and these items would only slow you down.

3.Put Yourself Out There

Being by yourself will likely make you depressed as you would have ample time to think and reminisce about what you and your ex both shared.

Try not to be alone at this time; go to the movies, hang out with friends, just do anything that will ensure you don’t spend time thinking of your ex and the life you had together.

4.Do Not Rebound Date

Most people would want to rebound date after a breakup as a way to get over the pain. They believe the best way to get over an old love is to get a new one.

However, nine times out of ten, it has been proven a rebound relationship doesn’t works and would only bring its own fresh set of baggage and pain.

5.Heal Completely and Then Date Again

Give yourself time to heal of all pain and drop every baggage from the old relationship before starting a new one.

There is no fixed time for getting over a breakup. Just take it one day at a time and you’ll know deep within you when you’re ready to love again.

    • Hi Alex, research has shown that it actually is a better option to mingle when dealing with a broken heart. In mingling, I mean hang out with friends, not go on dates.

Doing the alternative, which is wanting to be alone, will be counter productive to your healing.
