Grandmother’s Trunk

When our kids were little, we used to play an alphabet game on long car rides. In the game, we’d help Grandmother pack her trunk for an upcoming trip. The first person would start with the letter A.

“I was packing Grandmother’s trunk and in it I packed an Armadillo.”

The next person would then go. “I was packing Grandmother’s trunk and in it I packed an Armadillo and a Beachball.”

Then, the next person would take their turn. “I was packing Grandmother’s trunk and in it I packed an Armadillo, a Beachball, and a Canary.” You’d see if you could keep going without forgetting anything until you got up to the letter Z.

In the above video, I turned this game into a song. For the song, I go through the whole alphabet once, and pack one item for each letter of the alphabet.
