Girl Scouts sale of cookies to benefit first responders in Houston

The Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council which is located in Houston Texas will commence selling cookies to their customers which began on January 6, 2018 to March 25, 2018.

The catch is that any customer who buys a cookie package form the Girl Scouts in the Houston area is that some of the profits of the cookie sales will be going to a charity called “Cookies-4-Heroes” program.

The Girl Scouts organization is using the “Thank you” rule to have some of the profits from the sales of their cookies to the real heroes of Houston who are the first responders who came to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey that flooded “Space City” in 2017.

The rule is that anyone who wants to assist the “Cookies-4-Heroes” charity is to tell the Girl Scouts in the Houston metropolitan area to assist the charity.

What makes the Girl Scouts cookie sale great is that some of the profits made from the cookie purchases from the citizens in the Houston metropolitan area will be assisting the real heroes who risked their lives to assist the flood victims of Hurricane Harvey.

I like this type of teamwork since “United we stand” is the way to recover from a natural disaster like Hurricane Harvey to rebuild the Houston area.
