Focusing On The Positive Over Negative

“MIND OVER MATTER”

By simply changing your focus, you can change the outcome of an event.

Let me give you an example.

Imagine that you are driving your car, all of a sudden, you lose control of the car and you are heading straight to a large wall. If you keep focusing on hitting the wall, chances are you are going to hit it. However, if you can focus on another object that cannot hurt you when you hit it, you will steer towards that object and reduce your chances of hitting the wall. You may also focus on the other side of the road and steer towards it to avoid the wall.

This may sound far-fetched, but ask any professional racing car driver and I guarantee you that they know and use this technique.

If you constantly focus on the negative outcome, then you will become an expert of losing. For example, if you keep on saying, “I knew I was not going to make it”, “I knew she was going to say NO to me”, or “I knew my work is not as good as others work”, then expect these things could really happen to you.

You should certainly not congratulate yourself for predicting a negative outcome, when chances are; it was you who turned things into negative. Why focus on the negative when you could easily make the outcome positive? Why don’t you trust your capabilities and skills? When are you going to make things worth it for yourself and succeed on what you believe is to be for yourself? Do not be scared of trying and losing, scared on doing nothing and having nothing but nothing.

Do not become famous for being a loser though, but become famous for being a winner and a champion. Stand up and give yourself a chance to shine positively.
