Love ItLove It

December in Southern Cali

Monday, 12.3.18

From the first day of December, I noticed the weather suddenly got cold. So, this morning, I started wearing my knits and gloves to the gym and evening walking meetups. It is starting to feel like wintertime, even in Southern California. I don’t have much planned, except work on my graphic novel, go to a couple of meetups, and maybe watch a Bolshoi ballet show of Don Quixote at an old theatre as well as my usual gym workouts.

I added some snapshots from the Spectrum Center in Irvine and South Coast Plaza Village Center in Costa Mesa…

Malls are filled with lights, especially white lights decor during nighttime hours….

Cute deer decor are everywhere…

A bright star shines…

Candy Canes and gifts….

and, a cup of hot coffee with festive flavor…

    • i think i made a small sandman when i was younger at the beach. but i dont think i took a photo of it. i remember when i made the middle section, it was kind of heavy carrying it and placing it on top of the bottom section, which is mostly a large lumpy pile with the sandy ground, but molded into a round piece. the head was light.

      • We did a hole like a moat around a big pile of sand, the hole has water in it. Its easier if you get closer to the shore, then pile sand in the middle, wet and pack. Make a hill the size of the sandman. Wet and pack the sand, then carve the sandman all in one piece. We are going to do it again this year!

        • yeah, i used to do moats too, and fill it up with water. or, i think we used to just make the moat, and let the waves coming to the shore fill it up later before we leave…
