ALL MEN CHEAT?

I always address discuss like this by saying, most people that hold this world view that ALL men cheat are:

1) If they are not yet in a relationship or married, eventually end up attracting cheaters when they are ready to settle down. This group built their belief system from what they grow up hearing about men everyday from others. By believing it, it becomes their reality.

2) For those who probably are already in a relationship, their men are cheating on them, and so they try consoling themselves by committing the Fallacy of Over Generalisation: by implying that, if their experiences have been that they have had cheaters as men everytime, so therefore, all men must be a cheat.

But come on, I don’t have to believe your reality ???

This group can argue with the last drop of blood in their veins. Don’t blame them because it is their reality already (but they shouldn’t impose it on others or generalise their experiences on others), but what they most time fail to realize is that they are part of the problem; having a preconceived notion/belief (stereotype) about someone/group or something, you’ll live in the fear of that consciously or unconsciously.

My advice to all men that might read this is: If you are/will be a functional father, then you must be your sons hero and your daughters first love.

Imagine every boy and every girl grow up in such homes, not even society can change their belief system about a man, since they have standards of ideal men in their fathers.

For the records let me state it in clear themes:

ALL MEN ARE NOT CHEATERS

AND THOSE WHO CHEAT ARE NOT IDEAL MEN SO SHOULD NOT BE USED TO CATEGORISE THE REST.

    • I am not here to crucify you for your opinion. I love the fact that you’ve opened up on your take about the topic, so why do you think or say, mostly men are cheaters, jasmine?
Thanks for dropping by, by the way, and a lovely name you got there. ?

  1. I can agree less with both of you. But the stereotype that accompany men in this discuss is way overblown that was why I had to write this short piece.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving your thoughts too.
