Morgan Burnley who is an employee of a Papa John’s Pizza in Stafford County Virginia is being rewarded for doing what is being called an act of honesty when she went outside of her workshop to put out the trash when she noticed outside of a trash can when she was getting ready to close the lid of the dumpster when she found a large wad of cash that was in the neighborhood of $6,000 dollars.
Morgan decided to do what is right and report the large amount of money to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after she reached an agreement with her manager that the money that Morgan found was not hers or belonged to her employer.
Amanda Vicinanzo who is the spokeswoman of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies of the sheriff’s office were able to find who is the owner of had possession of the money with a businessman who accidently placed the money inside the trash when it was ready to get taken away by the sanitation department.
Burnley was rewarded by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office with a commemorative coin and a certificate coin for her honesty returning the money to the authorities who returned it to the business owner who was saved a severe case of heartbreak for losing money that was most likely going to be deposited into the local bank.
Despite the fact that Burnley works two jobs to earn a living, she was brought up never to steal money that does not belong to her since the money belongs to someone who really needs it more than she did.
It is not easy to do the honest thing to return money that someone finds on the street since we are being bombarded with the propaganda of the Easy Money and Easy Street mentality.
Thank you for sharing what the term easy money means.
Morgan grew up with a great respect for other people’s money.
Doing the right thing pays off in the end.
That’s what a fair woman says … there are few honest people today … all respect
I agree with you lado since Morgan followed her heart to return the money that she found on the street that was not hers.
Little is so honest people
It is not easy doing what is right when a huge amount of money is seen on a street.
I completely agree that the decision is not easy my friend
now that’s what I call honesty
That is true since Morgan could have “borrowed” the money that was not hers in the first place. She followed her beliefs that there is no such thing as “easy money”.
no such thing as easy money? ever heard of a trust fund?
I have heard of the trust fund. But I do not have one.
the very definition of easy money
Morgan Burnley is the one who has the universal revelation in her heart!
Morgan did what she was taught as a child that when someone loses a huge amount of money, take the attitude that someone else needs it more than she does.
Not all types of white paper can absorb certain types of paint and make themselves beautiful paintings, but Morgan is one of them.
You have an excellent point about the way Morgan handled the situation of not taking money that was not hers.
