4 AM Alarm

Anyone else has an internal 3 AM, 4 AM or 5 AM alarm? My internal alarm clock changes over time. At one point I woke up at 3AM every morning. That lasted for awhile, now it is a 4 AM alarm. While I get back to sleep eventually, it can be quite annoying.

Of course our internal alarm clock is nature’s way of regulating our sleep wake cycle, also known as the circadian rhythm.  The circadian rhythm regulates our sleep and wake cycle over a 24 hour period. However, I still don’t understand how it really works. It doesn’t matter what time I go to bed, the internal alarm clock wakes me up at 4 AM.

How about you? Does your internal alarm clock wake you up at odd times?
