On two or three meters square surface in my yard of the race Apple, Red Currant and Aronia lat. Aronia melanocarpa.
A few years ago, an apple seedlings from a friend because I did not give him fruit,
It gives me every other year.
I used Red Currant by the apple tree because I was there for the place. In the first year it was a bad birth. It’s been good this year too.
On the sidewalk, I measured 1340 grams of fruit.
Aronia will still stay on the tree for a few more days. I’ll get you some fruits in a couple of days.
Aronia is in our little known fruits. Botanical belongs to the armor lat.Sorbus spp.
Black fruit aronia is cultivated as a fruit or planted flower that flourishes in May with white flower clusters, and in autumn leaves change color to red shades. Aronia is a perennial bush that grows 1-1.5 m.
When I read about it, it was a great antioxidant and that Rousseau recommended to his people that he was drinking to strengthen the immunity, after the disaster in Chernobyl, I decided to plant her.

Aronia mature at the end of autumn. The flower can stay on the tree in winter and use it for tea. In recent years, the climate has changed. In mid-June, Aronia is starting to come in. Unlikely.
The only difficulty is that it’s hard to get the finished juice. The first one and I first freeze Aronia. Then we pull out in the evening to stand in the morning.
Then we squeeze through the metal press to get out the finished juice. We are taking in dark bottles and drunk every morning after a short time of juice.
As this story of Red Currant, I will bring you two recipes.
Although you can make a slice, pudding and some other treat.
Personally, I think it’s best to eat them fresh.
Juice of currant
Components:
- 1 kg of currants
- 1 tablespoon achidum citricum
- 1 kg of sugar
- 750 ml of cold water
The Red Currant is separated from the stalk and a little scratched by the hand. Add an acid of citricum, mix, cover and leave for 24 h. Add sugar and water to the masses, mix and walk through the gauze. Pour the liquid into clean sterilized bottles, close the hermetic seal (or double cellophane) and hold it in the refrigerator. If a larger quantity is stored and left for the winter then one bag of the preservative is placed on the specified quantity.
It is desirable to boil the water first, cool it, and then spill over the fruit.
Sweet of currant
Components
- 1 kg of currant
- 1 kg of sugar crystal
- 100 ml of water
Preparation
- Rice washed well while they are still in the cluster and then removed from the cluster. It’s easier to take them off with a grasshopper, by grabbing the grass behind the stump and tapping downwards from the top and they will fall off. If a piece of stalk remains on a grain, you can also remove it manually. The grains of currants that are sprinkled on a napkin to prosper.
- Sugar overflow with water and put it warm. When the skeer provokes, what would my mom say, when he drops the key, which means when he starts to knock, throw out the hats, add the dried currants and mix them gently with the sugar. Do not mix any more, just meld the shaft slightly and collect the foam, so that the serp is shoved backward, left and right, and the foam will gather in the middle of the serpe and it will be easier to practice. Sweetheart should gently flow for about 15-20 minutes. Take the dish out of the spore, pick up if there is still foam and cover with a wet, but well-wrung, clean cloth to cool down in a natural way.
- While it cools down, you sterilize the jars by putting the washed jeans in the oven and plugging it into 110 c. As soon as the timer reaches this temperature, turn off the oven and leave the jars for 10 minutes in the oven, then remove them, cover with a cloth and let it cool down. Cold sweet peppers in cold jars, and leave the places in the jar that the finish layer is cooking syrup. I put cellophane paper through the opening of a jar, and then I reject the cover. Candied like this can stand for over a year.
- You can use this sweetly as a gem, I like it most like in the picture or in a cake or as a decoration for cookies and fruit cakes.
5.NOTE
Do not add any lemon or vanilla to this sweet, but also the other way, because it will only reduce the fantastic flavor and taste that it naturally has.
Serving
With a cold water and a coffee shop, you will have a great and pleasant surprise to your guest.
Isn’t nature amazing? 🙂 This is not a garden, this is an ikebana. 🙂
Of course you can always get me from Aaronia.
Thank you so much for your detailed story with botanical notices and great recipes of juice & sweet of currant. Growed only black currant somewhere in the past.
Science says black currant is healthier than red. You just make juice and good health.
Then you have the Aronia melanocarpa which we call Black Chokecherry, as the Aronia arbutifolia berries stay red. They both have white flowers. There is another one called Canadian Red which is Prunus virginiana and its leaves turn purple.
Your pastry is so beautiful, did you bake that, Dragan?
Thank you for your information on Aronia,
You have a source on the site for the cake..
Best regards.
This was very interesting. What pretty red berries and the recipes sound delicious.
Thanks a lot, otherwise I love cakes of red currants. They have a great taste.
Beautiful post. We have the Aronia here, which we call Chokecherry, but I have only seen them in black. Yours are very pretty and yes, highly nutritious.
Thank you.
Aronia when it’s all ripe for reading it will be black.
