In southern Illinois, a citizen named in Belleville recently filed a lawsuit against Monsanto.  That puts the number of lawsuits being litigated against Bayer and Monsanto throughout the world at over 19,000.  However, this new case has an interesting case.

The person that sued Monsanto, Kyle Koelker, contracted cancer from using the weed killer known as Roundup.  However, he did sue Monsanto along with the hardware store that sold him the Roundup for negligence and for fraud.  The logic here is that since the hardware store sold the product that has been scientifically proven to cause non-Hodgkins lymphoma, the store would also be compliant with the sale of a flawed product.

The verdict in this lawsuit would be a game-changer because the stores selling Roundup would also be held accountable in future lawsuits against Bayer and Monsanto.
