Great Yarmouth Library Community Garden

I don’t live very far from my local library in Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England.  Over the past few years a group of volunteers have been looking after the garden outside of the library.  People in the community help to keep the garden tidy and planting new flowers and plants throughout the year.  I took several pictures so you can see the hard work that goes into maintaining this garden.  I go to a craft group on Tuesday mornings in the library, and the gardening group work on the same day, so I often see them out there working.

I was lucky enough to capture a lovely image of a butterfly.  I also didn’t realise until I was walking around that there is a little house for bugs and insects with food in it for them.  I think this is a really good idea.  Although the garden isn’t very big compared to some gardens, I do think the volunteers have done a wonderful job here and it attracts wildlife.  There is a bird bath and a bird table with food on it.  I feel blessed I live so close as it really is relaxing walking through here and seeing all the wildlife.
