Confederate Roses

Late in the fall of the year you will see these beautiful flowers putting on a show.

The whole plant dies down to the ground here in central Alabama and comes back to life in the Spring. Just about at the first frost you will see the pink blooms high in the air, like they are saying goodbye to the warmth and hello to the cold winter ahead.

These beauties can be rooted, just cut a limb and put it in water, watch for roots! Soon you will have many more Confederate Roses  to decorate your property.

Another amazing thing about the pink blooms are they open as pale pink and every day get a darker deeper pink.

  1. I love these. They actually bloom out white here and then turn light pink and then dark pink and sometimes red even. I got some cuttings from a friend at work but they did not root. It was bad time of the year with little rain. So pretty!!
