Temperatures are soaring in South-Africa. There is an average increase of about 3 degrees and according to the local weather office, temperatures are set to rise incrementally to a whopping 10 degrees, by the turn of the century. And it is with this backdrop that my better half had set out to rescue this discarded flower from the dumpster. At first we thought it was too late but then, one fine morning, recently, she was rewarded with several tiny buds, and lo-and-behold her reward, the very first one. Isn’t she the prettiest bloom of them all? Hense the title where the rose speaks, saying, “a rose for my lady.”

Hello Jenna, It was really beautiful and has produced 12 more pretty roses since that first one. We are so glad we saved it from certain death.
