Ideas for round shapes in the interior

One of my colleagues has once said that there is no more silly shape than the circle. I fully agree with it.

Let’s talk about the place of the ball, oval and other round shapes in the interior. I note that we talk about the round shape but not a bit rounded. Nothing is unacceptable and more terrible in the interior, as the rounded corners, curved walls, and “cut off” shapes due to lack of space or because of spontaneous design.

Round shapes are only good when they are obvious that they are specially selected and their place is here. Round shapes always require space, and they can not be too much. When only round shapes prevail, or, in other words, when round shapes are overloaded, it becomes tastelessness. But when they enter the environment harmoniously, they act as a calm and perfectly friends with all other forms.

After the need to build the round defense towers, round rooms are designed very rarely. But round shapes we use in decorations and finishings. Especially they are popular in furniture, ceiling decoration.

A rare architectural solution is large rounded windows. They create a unique interior and exterior of the house, becoming the main accent, and all other must be fitted to it.

Round shape in the ceiling, made of gypsum board with a hidden illumination. This is an optically-formed pseudo-cupola. This method is very suitable for rooms where you want to lift up a ceiling.
