Decoupage is Not Dead

I am always looking for something to hold my stuff. I have tons of this and that and so do most of my friends.

It is not hard to find terracotta  pots of all sizes. You can make sets or just a few for what you need. I have a small one just for my paper clips. You will mix two kinds of paint. I do about 50/50. I use yellow chalkboard paint and regular white  acrylic craft paint. Use a bristle brush and give the entire pot a once over. Don’t bother with a second coat. That terracotta peeking out is part of the charm. Allow this to dry completely.

Now you need some decoupage glue. For this project I use Mod Podge Matte Decoupage Glue. I am not looking for shine or glossy. I cut the parts of the napkin that I was to glue to the pot. Glue it and push out and creases and let dry.

Once it is dried I give it a second coat. It’s that easy.

Some one asked me why napkins. They are inexpensive and so many choices. Who wouldn’t love a minion. Got to the party section, get some napkins and make your party favors.
