Black Friday Weekend: Day 2

Saturday, November 25, 2017

Black Saturday

After breakfast, I decided to put up my new basic green wreath, and decorate it with my own items. I also added other decorations on my front door. Then, I decided to decorate my new glass globe. I planned to place stones inside, but when I took out the globe, I soon realized it was broken. I didn’t realize how delicate it was.

#1 My New Wreath with old decor items

This is my new winter wreath. I bought a new, plain, and simple one on sale for $6 because I just wanted a basic one that I could use all year. Then, I added small items that I already own to decorate it. Some of these items, like the 3 white doves and mistletoes, were on the old wreath that started to fall apart.

I plan to change the wreath decoration every season. I will probably add colorful flowers during spring and summer. And, I probably will add some orange items during autumn.

#2 My Winter Holiday door decor

I went to Michaels at noon to exchange it with a new one. It looks so cute, and it has a rope handle. It also goes well with my cottage coastal style living room décor. While at The District, I noticed the mall was even more crowded today than Friday that it was hard to find a parking space close to Michaels. I had worn black lipstick for the Black Friday Weekend theme, but I thought it made me look too gothic. So, I added some blood red lipstick on top of the black, which looked more like blood red.

This snapshot displays the decor on the whole door, which includes different colorful bows and accessories from old gifts. The pinwheel from spring is still on the door. I actually got this from a UCI event.

#3 My new glass globe with old holiday decor items

I returned home, carefully unwrapped it, and add some cotton at the bottom for clouds, before adding on top a cardboard angel, small Nativity snow globe, and a gold rocking horse. (I am just having fun with doing creative winter holiday decorations, even though I know that Jesus was born in March). I took some snapshots, ate something, made a cup of Spicy Green tea, and turned on my computer.

#5 Cappuccino Break

When I frapped the almond milk in the blender, it became very foamy like real cappuccino white foam. I poured some over my espresso coffee, and it looked like real cappuccino with white foam on top. I sprinkled some cinnamon on top. I cannot believe it is vegan.

My vegan cappuccino actually looks like this regular cappuccino that I bought at a coffee shop in the mall.

#6 Animal Adoption Fair in December

While taking out some holiday decorations, I noticed these two ornaments that I bought at PetsMart in December 1999 because a portion of it will help feed homeless animals. I hope it really did help save homeless animals...

I think these two ornaments feel too heavy to hang on a Christmas tree. So, I usually just place them on a table or windowsill for cute decoration.
