The white color adapts to the style
The interest in the interior of the white color in Europe and America arose in the third decade of the 1990s. Then this color was associated with a luxurious and refined, even aristocratic way of life. Later it returned in a completely different form to the minimalist interiors of the 1960, where its purpose was to emphasize the rationality and laconicity of spacious rooms.
Scandinavian style also likes white color, simple and precise lines, light and rich colors, and natural materials. The white color here expresses comfort, calmness and naturalness. One should not underestimate the fact that the white color is often associated with excess and luxury: yachts, limousines, curtains, tablecloths…
The greatest advantage of white color interior is flexibility. It can be combined with the items of various styles, decor elements, and the implementation of interesting design ideas and solutions. Replacing accessories, for example, with the two different sets of curtains and furniture covers, it is possible to radically change the color of the interior by the mood.
A clean white color is particularly suitable and loved by the minimalist interior, with its usual mat white surfaces, clear glass and metal details. However, it does not mean that fans of other styles can not create an impressive design using this color.
The classic interior design offers a striking combination of whitewashed walls, ceilings and metal decorated furniture. The white color of the east or country style house perfectly highlights the wood decoration and crocheted furniture. And lightweight curtains, the texture of interesting textiles give the white room a romantic aureole.
The subtly curved white furniture lines look very elegantly decorated in a modern style. So, everyone can create the interior of a white color by choosing the style that best reflects your interests.
In a different spaces – different effects
The clean white color creates a bright and spacious room impression, but it’s hard to call it cozy. Too much white, especially in the big room, makes you feel lonely and helpless. A white wall in front of your eyes can also be a bit too painful: it looks cold and boring. You can liven up the interior of the living room with the accessories of the warm tints (terracotta, sand). Or, on the contrary, give it a refreshing look with cold shades – blue or emerald. The texture of these rich colors will help to emphasize the detail of brightness, style of individuality.
A perfect white-colored bedroom can become a truly exclusive, eye-catching look, but it’s unlikely to look cozy and will make you relax. Unless warm and warmth spreads like peach shades, and the lamps will be made of colored glass – then even a very bright bedroom will radiate the good mood of the room.
This sterile white color is not recommended: it looks too boring and depressing for a child. It is better to the pastel-colored walls and floors to adjust the white furniture.
It is suitable for a clean white color, only enliven it with brightly colored dishes, chairs, fruits. Aluminum, steel or chrome details appear on a white background is impressively highlighted. However, white floor tiles need great care.
It may seem too cold, especially if it is a small room without windows. Its monotony can be suppressed with multicolored tiles or colored towels. The white color visually increases the space, so it is suitable not only for the bathroom, but also for other small rooms – the hallway and the closet.
