There are a lot of street foods that you can taste in the Philippines but based on my opinion, these are my Top 5.
#1 TURON
Turon is a banana coated by spring rolls with brown sugar. Sometimes, they put Vanilla or Jackfruit to taste it even better. My mother usually cooks this for us partnered with ice cold juice. It is easy to make and easy to cook as well.
#2 BETAMAX
Do you believe that this is a roasted dried chicken blood? Yes! It is one of the famous street foods in the Philippines.
#3 BALUT
Originally, Balut is not from the Philippines rather it is from China. But, it became popular in the Philippines because of being exotic and delicious as well. It is an embryo of a duck or chicken.
#4 KWEK-KWEK
Kwek-kwek is a hard boiled quail egg and best with vinegar with chopped onions.
#5 ISAW
Isaw is a skewed chicken intestines. Properly cleaned and well prepared to avoid any food poisoning. Best to eat with vinegar and chopped onions.
