My uncle lives by himself and his son and I try to take turns checking on him, helping him with chores, medication, and food. We try not to take over or spend too much time and still we want him to have what he needs and enjoy life.
I got him a small slow cooker and that has been a great thing. I also purchased the bags that go inside so if he doesn’t like it or doesn’t finish it all he just has to take the bag out, put a tie on it and put it the freezer. There is always a way that someone else can use it later.
So what is that red solo cup about? Well it is an easy container to put soup in a freeze it. It pops right out and you can bag it. In the morning drop it in the slow cooker and it’s ready for lunch.
My husband wondered by and read this. He is not so certain my Uncle loves the whole process. I thought he did. I guess tonight we will go visit and see!
that is a great idea to replace the stacks of tupperware we have in the freezer!!!!
