Merry Christmas!

May your heart and home be filled with all of the joys the festive season brings! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

As you already know, in Bulgaria we have a plant-based dinner on Christmas Eve. That’s why I baked these yummy cookies that everybody at home loves. This time I used only powdered sugar for the coat. They turned out quite sweet, but I think that they look very festive. By the way, they are delicious even without any sugar coat. See the recipe here.

I also baked some flax cookies (the most popular recipe on my blog for 2017), and I made some raw truffles.

How did you spend Christmas and Christmas Eve?

  1. We had two celebrations this year. A couple of days before we all got together as a Maryland family and celebrated. Then it was off to Indiana (we are back now) for the larger family celebration! Belated greetings from Maryland !!!

  2. Just the three of us – my wife, me and our adult son – for Christmas Day, but today (Boxing Day) we are off to see some of my wife’s family in Cambridgeshire. On Friday we’ll be going down to Hampshire to see my sister and mother.

Unusual Christmas presents this year – I gave my wife an extending ladder and she gave me a wheelbarrow!

  3. We celebrated last night. My married daughter, her husband, his parents and the daughter’s pit bull came over for dinner (lasagna) and gift exchange. Quiet day today. Unfortunately we overslept and missed Mass.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
