If you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If you have a sweet tooth like me, you couldn’t have even one day without desserts. There’s a funny saying: “No matter how much I eat, there’s always room for dessert. Dessert doesn’t go to the stomach. Dessert goes to the heart.”

So, my question for you, fellow dessert lovers, is if you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be?

#2 My favourite Dessert? Kadaif!

Kadaif or Kadaifi is a tooth-achingly sweet dessert, made of fine noodles wrapped around a mixture of pistachios and other nuts, roasted then drenched in syrup. It is popular throughout the countries of the eastern Mediterranean, and I most recently ate one yesterday before flying out of Greece. It had been made by the mother of the restaurateur, and she was very proud when I complimented her on it 🙂 Not dissimilar to baklawa, it has got to be the best dessert ever!

#4 Serabi

Serabi is one of Indonesian traditional cakes, especially West Java. Various varieties of serabi flavor can be created, this makes the serabi a delicious dish that follows the times. Ranging from oncom (Soybeans which its proteins have been taken to make the tofu, fermented with yeast until after mold produces spores), durian cheese, chicken egg cheese to raisins, strawberry flavor to the taste of chocolate. Made from rice flour and wheat flour mixed with coconut milk and cooked with a special frying pan.

#5 THE MIGHTY KOEKSISTER

My favorite treat is called a koeksister which is a traditional South African baked treat made of fried dough infused in syrup or honey. The name is derived from the Dutch word "koek", which generally means a wheat flour confectionery, also the origin of the American English word "cookie".

Koeksisters are plaited strips of dough prepared by frying them in oil, then submerging the hot fried dough into ice cold sugar syrup. Koeksisters have a golden crunchy crust and liquid syrup center, very sticky and sweet and taste like heaven.

#6 Chocolate dipped strawberry cupcake!

Dark chocolate cupcake, you can add a berry inside as well. Then top with strawberry whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate and topped with a chocolate dipped berry. You can also dip the strawberry in crushed nuts of your choice as well.

  1. It’s so unfair to show a picture of tiramisu and then ask people to think of something.
After a break I thought that I make a pretty good Meyer Lemon cheesecake (tiramisu) and things with cherries are hard to beat (tiramisu) and sinfully super dark chocolate cakes are fab (tiramisu) and there’s crème brûlée (tiramisu) ….
I like tiramisu really a lot I think!
