My Continental Vegan Breakfast

Monday, 11.20.17

Last night, I remember something telling me about doing oatmeal cereal overnight. So, I decided to try it because I just returned from Mother’s Market with vegan Thanksgiving food for myself as well as canned food for Gumby.

The oatmeal recipe includes place 1/3 of raw oatmeal in a bowl, then pouring some almond milk on top. I also made my own almond milk with almonds, water, and a blender. I placed it in the refrigerator all night. I woke up this morning at 7 am to eat my breakfast. I stirred it a little, and I noticed it looks thick and creamy but cold. But it tasted good. I even decided to add a little bit sugar and cinnamon, which is the same toppings I put over hot oatmeal cereal.

I also decided to eat some french baguette with eggplant dip. Then, I took a short nap, before I got up and did some cleaning. I made a cup of tea and turned on my computer.

Suddenly, I remembered that when I woke up at 7 am this morning, there was a tune stuck in my head, although I didn’t remember the dream. The tune was from a Swedish song I heard on YouTube, Leve Palestina, and I just remember the title of the song and the music, since I don’t know Swedish.

I added a snapshot of my IMVU avatar enjoying her continental breakfast at her backyard, between her pool and the beach. The sky even looks like early morning hours.

  1. Love the image and the oatmeal sounds different. I have never had cold oatmeal. I always put butter and honey in my hot oatmeal, and pecans if I have them.
